Who We Are
CSNE was founded in 2003 as a Regional Member Club of the AKC Parent Club for the Breed in the USA, The American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club. www.ackcsc.org
Drawing on a membership from the New England states (with a concentration in the southern tier), CSNE is dedicated to the health and welfare of the Cavalier. To that end, we encourage responsible ownership, breeding and exhibiting, in both Conformation and Performance AKC events.
Our members have different interests. Some are exhibitors in Obedience, Rally, Agility, FastCAT, ScentWork, TrickDog, etc. Many exhibit their dogs in Conformation shows; some do Therapy work with their Cavaliers; some are breeders, and some just own Cavaliers as companions, and others who have maintained an interest in the breed over many years. Our common bond is that all of us love the Cavalier breed.
What We Do
Our monthly membership meetings are open to Cavalier owners interested in joining the club. Come meet us!
Each March we hold a Health Clinic offering heart exams by board certified cardiologists, eye exams by board certified ophthalmologists and patella exams, plus microchips, all at reduced rates.
Each April we hold an Awards Night where members and their dogs who have earned AKC titles in Breed or Performance are recognized. We also honor members’ dogs who have passed their 12th birthday with membership in “The 13 Club”.
Every Summer we hold a Summer Picnic/Meetup, open to all Cavaliers and their owners.
In September we hold a 2-day AKC All-breed Performance Trial where our Performance enthusiasts can compete in AKC Rally and Obedience.
In early October we hold a Fun Match in the Fall with puppy conformation classes and fun classes plus a costume parade.
Our Regional Independent Specialty Shows are held in October. We offer two Conformation shows, Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes, along with a Parade of Veterans and a Parade of Obedience Titled Dogs. We hold a Specialty Banquet, Auction and Raffles.
Annual Holiday Party
Every December we have our annual Holiday dinner and party, complete with a fun Yankee Swap.
CSNE as a club, and our individual members support the ACKCSC Rescue Trust with donations and occasional fostering.
